Nikon - In The Field
We align technical insight with disciplined execution to provide measurable gains across operational, financial, and strategic domains.
Lee Thomas Kjos’s relationship with Nikon began at age 14 when he invested an entire summer’s earnings in a Nikon FM. Today, Nikon equipment remains central to his work around the world. Blending an artist’s eye with a lifelong devotion to waterfowling, Kjos creates cinematic, timeless images rooted in authenticity, tradition and a deep commitment to conservation.
Inspiration through story telling = sales.
By telling the stories of compelling photographers working beyond traditional model shoots, Nikon can inspire people who rarely see themselves in camera advertising. Showing photographers documenting their communities, exploring nature, or finding beauty in everyday life makes photography feel more accessible and relevant. These stories can reach an audience mainstream advertising often overlooks—people who may discover their own reason to pick up a camera when they see someone creating with a purpose they connect with.
Proposal and cost
I love meeting fellow adventurers and photographers. Better yet, I love telling their stories.
By spending 2-3 days alongside each photographer, I can capture the footage and personal story needed to show how they work, what drives them, and how Nikon helps bring their vision to life.
These films can showcase new products, inspire current photographers, and connect with audiences often overlooked by camera advertising—building interest that supports sales.
Each sub 2-minute film can further be re-edited for shorter (15 second) ads or be used alongside new bodies and lenses to product launches.
Production is $9,500 per film, plus travel expenses.
